We're down to two digits tom and we still have quite a handful to accomplish...

Confirmation (Kumpil) : Check
Jose and I received the Sacrament of Confirmation this morning at the National Shrine of St. Michael and the Archangels.
Rev. Msgr. Severino G. Anatalio officiated the Ceremony. We attended the 9AM mass and proceeded to the 10:15 Confirmation. The priest pointed out that at 12 years old, kids are already receiving the sacrament of confirmation. I guess he was pretty disappointed coz half of the people there (guilty, Us included) were having themselves confirmed since it's a Church requirement for marriage.
Msgr. Anatalio's homily was also good. He said "A man without prayer, is like a tree without roots. And what happens to a tree without roots? It withers...". I think this is a quote he got from St. Augustine. I totally agree! He was a bit strict but everything he said was logical, he has a point.
If you're getting married and needs to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation (Kumpil), I'd recommend you have it at San Miguel Church. The National Shrine of St. Michael and the Archangels is located in Malacanang.
Here are the contact details:
National Shrine of St. Michael and the Archangels
100 JP laurel St., corner Solano St.,
San Miguel, Manila
Telephone Number: 734-1271 or 736-1105
Requirements:
-Photocopy of baptismal certificate with "for marriage purposes" annotation -Confirmation fee of Php600
-at least 1 Sponsor (Ninang or Ninong)
-Be at the church 1 hour before the ceremony
Schedules:
Thursday and Saturdays: 2:30PM
Sundays: 10:15AM
Certificates of confirmation will be released right after the mass.
Unsolicited advice: make a confession before your kumpil.

In My Life - made me cry buckets
Watched In My Life at Trinoma with office friends this evening. This movie is a tearjerker!
It's already 12midnight and my eyes are still puffy due to crying over this movie. Mind you, the movie started at 8pm and ended a little past 10pm.
Vilma, Luis and John Lloyd did a great acting job. The supporting actors also did well. Vice Ganda is so refreshing!=)
There are scenes that are so heartbreaking that I gushed in tears. I'm not an expert in reviewing movies, but this one is really worth your money.

Pre-nup / Pre-wedding / Engagement Shoot Venue
The search is on for our pre-nup venue...
Jose and I will be having our pre-nup shoot on October 6. We still have no venue, and it's less than a month to go before the pictorial!
Our photographer Edu of Extreme Details suggested we do it in Corregidor. Unfortunately we plan to use "props" and it might be difficult for us to bring it to Corregidor considering the ferry ride.
I've listed a couple of pre-nup / pre-wedding / engagement shoot venues. Most of these places I got from w@wies.
Here's the list:
Metro Manila
1. Bonifacio High Street (Taguig)
2. Intramuros (Manila)
3. Roxas Boulevard (Manila)
4. Greenbelt (Makati)
5. La Mesa Eco Park (Quezon City)
6. UP, Diliman (Quezon City)
7. Paco Park (Manila)
8. Rainforest Park (Pasig)
9. Sycip Washington Park (Makati)
Out-of-Town
1. Corregidor (Bataan)
2. Subic Free Port (Olongapo)
3. Clark (Pampanga)
4. Calatagan Resots (Batangas)
5. UP, Los Banos (Laguna)
6. Caleruega (Tagaytay)
I'll be adding more soon, with pictures hopefully. =)
Other concern is hair and make-up. My HMU Jigs Mayuga has not replied yet if we can do my trial make-up on October 6.
Oh goodluck to me!

2nd Meeting with Tita Adora
Met with Tita Adora earlier at Trinoma so she can take the body measurements of my bridesmaids and secondary sponsor. She's so nice and very punctual. My sisters find her mabait too. She also brought sketches of gown designs.
Gown inspiration for Mama.
Gown design for Janna, my sister.

Shopping, good food and good friends
My office friends and I trooped to Greenhills after our early dismissal this afternoon. This is the second year we did this, I'm thinking this will be an annual thing =) Imagine 5 shopping crazed ladies in one car, all in hopes of finding great buys and looking forward to a hearty hot pot dinner after. Quite a sight. Also, annoying to the ear hahaha.
All five of us came out of the shopping area happy (with our purchases). We had dinner at Gloria Maris after 3 hours of shopping! Tin's choice of food was perfect. We were so full! Capped the night over a cup of coffee care of the very preggy Trixie. Eva got herself the mug she wanted. The Starbucks stint was filled with kwentos and funny hirits care of this year's driver Rose.
It's a delight to be shopping and dining with dear friends =)
Next agenda, out of the country trip =8
